Fashion and Unity in Football: The Spirit of African Unity shines through the Africa Cup of Nations...Proud to be African....xxxx

Who said fashion is only limited to the catwalk. I say break the rules and take it to the football stadium. Here comes the Africa Cup of Nations.I am not one to sit down and avidly (does this word exist??) watch a game of football except when it comes to watching the best team in the world (arsenal) Oh yes!!!!! sorry I had to say it....yes Arsenal...sorry where was I? Oh yes....football..but I decided to watch the Africa Cup of Nations this year and goodness...Am I hooked or what....I just love how we do football, colour and costume....I think we take it to the next level...(look at African fabric) prints, colours, guts and sheer bravery.....xxx

Watching them play exposed a sense of unity that we do not normally see...esp...in the media...

In the recent media coverage about Africa, its all about political turmoil in Egypt, Nigeria, Tunisia...don't get me wrong I recognise this and my heart goes out to my people but there is another side of Africa....the fun happy Unified Africa that they are afraid to show....and through these pictures you will see that part. RELISH!!!!!

These men play with a spirit so untamed and make you feel like yes!!!! (FIST UP!!!!)....the world is a great place to live in...and yes(ANOTHER FIST UP!!!!)...all these feelings just from watching football....And the fact that the president of Gabon is there all through to support his country's players speaks a lot.

Here are some pictures....Enjoy....

A little bit of fashion inspiration for my dear readers....(could not help it....xxx)

  1. Good post, it is great that footabll unites people and as long as the men all look fit I certainly won't complain about them being half naked :-) Think you may have to widen your UK favourites though, surely you know the best team is Liverpool lol xxx
